Once you've got your data flowing into Google Analytics (GA), the best way to measure your performance is to use the Goals functionality. Once set up, this is a super valuable way to view your conversions from Knock.

You can set up goals around any combination of the events that we send to your GA account. To set up Goals in GA, go to the Admin section and then to the View section and you'll see a Goals item there.

Setting up Goals

To set up a goal using the Knockbot events, you'll first click New Goal and then for the goal type select Custom. Click Continue and then name your goal something you'll remember that's specific to that goal type (more on that below). Choose Event for your goal type and then click Continue once more. On the final step, enter the Event Category, Event Action, and Event Label to define when your goal is set. Click Save and you'll see goals flow into your GA data! Here's an example using the first goal described below:

We suggest that you use the following four goals, with descriptions on what you're tracking below:

Scheduling Form Submission

This will trigger a goal every time a prospect schedules a tour with your property via Knockbot.

Event Category: Knockbot
Event Action: Scheduling
Event Label: Form Submit

Text Me Form Submission

This will trigger a goal every time a prospect requests a text from your property via Knockbot.

Event Category: Knockbot
Event Action: Text Us Form
Event Label: Form Submit

Contact Form Submission

This will trigger a goal every time a prospect submits a contact form via Knockbot.

Event Category: Knockbot
Event Action: Contact Form
Event Label: Form Submit

Something Else Form Submission

This will trigger a goal every time a prospect submits a form after clicking the Something Else item in Knockbot.
